P. Lantz’s Artists in Residence (AIR) work with Education students and staff to build further understanding of the multifaceted practices of the arts; the ways in which visual and performing arts can be integral to building knowledge across disciplines. AIRs support professors across various disciplinary areas in Education, working together to integrate arts themes, strategies and assignments into their classes. Artists mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the arts, advising on curriculum strategies and artistic practices. Ongoing exhibitions, digital displays, performances, and other art activities in the Faculty have been more prevalent in the Faculty with AIRs organizing events, workshops, seminars, and other various types of arts-related scholarly activities related to arts pedagogy and social change.
